We never managed to get either of our bank cards to work. We have both Cirrus and Plus bank cards and they have worked faithfully all over the world. We tried to withdraw money using both cards in several banks in Papeete, several more in Vaitape, Bora Bora, and yet more in Moorea. They never worked. We finally did succeed in getting money out using a credit card (Visa). Of course this means we're stuck paying hefty cash advance fees. If you live in a oountry other than the US, you should consider establishing a positive balance on your credit card, and maybe more than one. We met many other people from other countries who had the same trouble we had. Make sure you know the PIN number for your cards and bring extra US dollars or Euros just in case. Many cheaper hotels and stores will not take credit cards.www.ianandwendy.com/
ATM stands for Automated Teller Machine. But still most of us say "I've gotta go to the ATM machine". Wait, you've gotta go to the Automated Teller Machine Machine?!
Wrong. www.gothamcityinsider.com/
Just say "ATM" and lose the extra "machine".
For instance, "I've gotta go to the ATM to get some cash" would be fine
Tea time is when we at work relax, kick off our shoes and talk about stuff which are usually non-work related. The general conversation revolves around things currently in news or about some experience that one of us had over the weekend. Interestingly enough, our topic today was ATM - no, not the one thats got to do with mathematics, but the Automated Teller Machine.
Visiting the ATM these days has become quite an ordeal. More often than not, you would end up waiting in a long queue. I’ve been using the ATM for the past couple of years and have had my share of experiences. This particular bank that I’m talking about (and I’m sure others would follow suit), has two teller machines close to my office and is usually crowded during business hours. A typical scene at the ATM is as follows - www.adelanwar.com/

This type of crime tends to be done by organized gangs of professional thieves. The same types would steal safes from large stores and work on them at their leisure in a warehouse or garage somewhere. The problem isn't getting into the ATM; it's getting rid of the thing after the money's been removed. My guess is they get shoved into the river from the back of a flatbed truck. It's probably safe to assume that the group of thieves includes someone who's worked on ATM machines and understands how they're put together - just as gangs of safe thieves usually included a locksmith or someone with professional experience of the workings and construction of safes.
